Compact domestic waste water treatment plant using sludge activated with a culture fixed on a fluidised bed
The Imhoff tank is a combined anaerobic biological pretreatment tank. The sedimentation (in the top part) and the anaerobic digestion of the organic material on the bottom take place in the same dual-compartment unit.
This unit is the best wastewater storage solution when the ground characteristics or authorities’ requirements make it impossible/illegal to discharge wastewater into the environment. This is collected in the tank and when it is full it must be emptied.
Closed tank in which sludge is in direct contact with domestic wastewater passing through the structure. Solid organic matter is partially decomposed by the action of anaerobic bacteria.
This accessory is designed to retain and separate bulky floating bodies and bodies in suspension retained by the waste water. The voluminous matter and other floating waste are trapped and retained by the grill. These solids must be collected manually from the draining basket using a rake.
